Frquently Asked Questions
Are your kennels heated?
Yes, and air conditioned too. All our guest are provided with chew toys, premium food and a Kuranda brand bed to sleep on. Visit our kennel website for more information on the accomodations.
May I visit my dog during the week?
We ask that you do not visit during the week. It takes many dogs a day or two of adjustment once they return to the kennel and training. A mid-week visit would essentially reset any progress. We understand your bond with your dog, which is why we allow the dog to return home for the weekends.
Do you offer a lifetime guarantee?
Because we cannot control what, if any, training that is done once the dog leaves White Mountain College for Pets. we cannot guarantee a trained dog for life.
We do present an exit demonstration when you pick your dog up on the final day of the program. This allows you to see that the dog has aquired the promised skills while in school
Can I call you with a problem after my dog has completed the program?
We offer 30 days of free support with all our Canine College programs. After the 30 days, our regular consultation rate would apply.
Do you offer payment plans?
We do not offer payment plans for Canine College programs. We do accept all major credit cards, however. Depending on the purpose of the training, the State of NH has grant programs available.
I am interested in the Bachelor or Master programs; can I enroll my dog directly into of of those programs?
Yes and no. Our three certficate programs are designed to build upon the previous program's skill set. If you feel that your dog is proficient in the items from the prerequisite program, you can request a private testing. Should your dog pass, they will be able to enter the next program higher in skill level.
How much time will I have to devote to training once I get my dog home?
During our exit lessons, we will show you ways tp incorporate training into your daily routine. The concern with be less with "time" and more with "quality." On average, your total daily training will be less than 5 minutes per day.
